This song is about William Penn. His objection to his admiral father's fighting, in spite of his continuing love for him, his establishing of Pennsylvania and the drafting of its laws, on which, some say, the American constitution is based. The picture shows him in negotiation with Charles ll to secure the land that would become Pennsylvania.
